WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT BLYTHEWOOD

EXPERIENCE THE HISTORY, COMMUNITY AND BEAUTY WHEN YOU VISIT BLYTHEWOOD FARMS.

BLYTHEWOOD FARMS WILL BE THE FUTURE HOME OF BLYTHEWOOD FARMS HORSE RESCUE. WE PLAN ON RESCUING HORSES FROM AUCTION WHO ARE BEING SOLD TO SLAUGHTER AND ADOPTING HORSES FROM OWNERS WHO CAN NO LONGER PROVIDE ADEQUATE CARE FOR THEIR HORSE.

Blythewood Farms will be the future home of Blythewood Farms Horse Rescue. We plan on rescuing horses from auction who are being sold to slaughter and adopting horses from owners who can no longer provide adequate care for their horse.

Horses at their new home at Blythewood Farms will begin their rehabilitation process which will include veterinary care, farrier care and training. We will quarantine each horse for a minimum of 21 days for illness. Horses will be rehabilitated to trail and schooling horses.

After quarantine, the horses will remain on Blythewood Farms to heal and to live on the farm until a suitable adoptive home is found. A partnership with Wounded Warrior Project will pair a Veteran with an individual horse. During visits, the Veteran will care for the horse which includes feeding, riding and grooming. This partnership with Wounded Warrior Project will benefit both parties, forming a bond of trust with the horse and the Veteran.

Blythewood Farms Horse Rescue will also host education programs which will be open to visitors from the community, school field trips and educational day trips. We will offer a wide variety of educational programs for children, adults and animal welfare professionals.
